Collection: Novice Bonsai 102 Workshops Chicago

Take your bonsai journey to the next level with our Bonsai 102 Novice Workshop, a deeper dive into the design, form, and science behind this living art. Hosted at your favorite local breweries and coffee shops, this elevated experience is perfect for returning students and plant lovers ready to explore bonsai beyond the basics. 

You’ll work with Serissa, a larger pre-bonsai tree, learn foundational plant physiology, practice aesthetic principles and structural wiring to shape your tree with intention. We’ll also explore how moss and final presentation complete the design. You do NOT have to take 101 Beginner Bonsai to enjoy this workshop! No prior experience required—but curiosity and creativity are highly encouraged.
