WORKSHOP SUMMARY
Looking for a unique and fun night out? Our beginner bonsai workshops are just the thing! Bring your friends, grab a drink, and dive into the captivating art of bonsai. We're taking bonsai out of traditional gardens and into your favorite bars, breweries, and coffee houses. Join us for a night of creativity, learning, and enjoyment.
Our expert instructors will guide you through the fundamental skills and techniques of bonsai. You'll learn to pot, prune, and craft your very own bonsai tree, all while enjoying a lively atmosphere. Bonsai-pétit!
EVENT ARRIVAL
PLEASE arrive at least 15mins early to ensure you get checked-in at the downstairs concierge desk and can easily order any food or beverages you want during the workshop. Come earlier for the included happy hour tasting or stay after the workshop to enjoy our partner venue's offerings and admire your new bonsai tree!

WORKSHOP DETAILS
Thornton Distilling Co. occupies Illinois’ Oldest Standing Brewery, built in 1857. A “Dead Drop” is a bygone prohibition-era bootlegging term. Often times barrels of whiskey would be left at a secret location for pick-up at a later date when the coast is clear. Because of our building’s colorful colorful history and long tradition of malt fermentation, we are picking up from where our predecessors left off. And thus Dead Drop Spirits was born. This shared sense of history and tradition informs our process and our direction. We practice traditional distilling methods, utilizing the best ingredients possible, and never take shortcuts or compromise quality.
