Bonsai Terrarium

This bonsai terrarium is a living symbol of harmony — thoughtfully designed with preserved moss, a perfectly scaled tropical bonsai and raw crystals nestled throughout to represent the strength and individuality that exist within our  community when we work together. 

Each piece of living art is handcrafted by our Founder and carefully sculpted for optimal care and genuine beauty. The preserved moss creates a lush, timeless landscape. The raw crystals add grounding energy and natural texture. At the center, the bonsai tree stands as a reminder that with care and connection, even something delicate can flourish. Depending on seasonality, tree types will not always be the same but will all be tropical bonsai with the same care needs. 

 

Bonsai Terrarium Care Facts

The perfectly cultivated bonsai selected for these terrariums are admired for their small leaves, elegant branching, and delicate foliage elements. They’re easy to care for because of the terrarium glass, making them refined but approachable — a beautiful fit as a meaningful, symbolic piece.

Light ☀️:
Bright, indirect light is best. A sunny window with filtered light is ideal. Avoid harsh midday sun. A grow light is an excellent alternative choice for substituting light and can be left on 8-10hrs per day. 

Water💧:
Water every week with 1/2 cup of water. Never let soil be too dry or soggy. Prefers moderate humidity but humidity is balanced within the terrarium when you water on schedule. 

Temperature

🌡️:
Happy in stable indoor temperatures (65–75°F). Avoid cold drafts or sudden changes in temperature. Do not place outside; this is an indoor plant!

Feeding 🌳:
Use a balanced bonsai fertilizer during the growing season (spring through early fall), about every 4 weeks.

Pruning ✂️:
Trim lightly to maintain shape. It responds well to gentle, consistent pruning when branches begin to outgrow the terrarium.

Pick-up:
If you live within Chicagoland, we can schedule a pick-up of your bonsai terrarium. We will email you after your order is placed to coordinate a pick-up from one of our workshops.

Delivery:
If you live in Chicagoland but coordinating a pick-up of your bonsai terrarium is not possible due to distance. We will email you after your order is placed to coordinate a delivery and invoice you. Delivery is an additional $20 to cover costs.
